The candle within broke,
Without its warmth… darkness crawls.
Embers line the path—
A path carved of fear.
When did we come to know?
That holding the burdens of others,
Meant carrying their pain after.
Weaving their weight onto ourself.
Assuring they’ll pass… yet they stayed.
Where did this path lead?
Down a road of sorrow,
Where scars announce themselves.
Turning pain into blood… dread into tears.

What was there to gain?
This path began with wounds,
Unknown to us, it’s lined with thorns.
With every step… it cuts deeper.
Do “You” still hoped for a bouquet?
