The coffee's still bitter no sugar inside yet somehow it warms me deep down inside. No honey no cream just that old dark hue but since you've been mine it tastes something new. Each sip used to sting like a cold, sharp goodbye now it melts on my tongue like your soft little cry. Maybe its love or the way that you smile that's turning my cup bitter to sweet mile after mile. You're not in the cup, oh my cupcake but you live in the steam, in every slow sip, in each quiet dream. And though nothing's changed, the recipe; no cheat my coffee's still bitter....but darling It's sweet!

Of Bitter Brews and Tender Love
