You held my heart like something borrowed Warm in your hands cold when you were done I opened every door inside me And you walked out of each one I learned your shadow better than your face Loved your silence more than your words But love that isnt returned Becomes a weight too heavy for one person to carry I begged for truth you offered distance I asked for honesty you gave escape I wasnt asking you to save me Only not to vanish without a trace So go if leaving feels like breathing Go if staying makes you ache I’ll gather the pieces you left behind And build a life you will never break again If I was just a moment for you Know you were a lifetime for me And thats the cruelest part Loving who only loved the idea of being loved So I release you like a ghost From a house that no longer wants haunting If theres grace in goodbye let this be it My final letting go

A lifetime for a moment
