My dear Covey,
Tonight hasn’t been so lovey.
As I look, staring at the stars in the sky
Screaming at me and wishing me to die.
Like rocks hitting on my back
And shattered glass shearing through my skin
Shuttering through my skull
Making me feel even more dull.
Hearing you with him
Makes my heart ache with a needle or a pin.
Having to avoid you during class
Makes me miss your laugh and sass.
I’ve been nothing without you
Outlining me as a fool.
Help me make it up to you
And let me talk to that pretty face soon.

This poem is about someone who has recently lost a significant other from their life. The reminder of their past significant other’s face makes them feel even worse as they think it’s their fault.
