I am the thread and the stories.
I wonder how everyone is connected, mere scraps of every part of their existence.
I hear the quiet pull of the thread between worlds.
I see each section of life intertwining with the others.
I want to live through each embroidered strand, telling a tale through its sutures.
I am the thread and the stories.
I pretend to care how perfect each seam is, as the highlights of my tales pour in.
I feel each bump on the surface, my fingers dancing across the ups and downs of life.
I touch the sharp point of the needle, and as the red thread falls from my fingertip, it adds a deep burgundy splotch on my once-perfect masterpiece.
I worry that others will not see my beauty in the stories I stitch.
I cry for someone to understand each hems meaning.
I am the thread and the stories.
I understand that not everyone can intertwine scraps seamlessly.
I say ***** it, each seamstress has their own talents in keeping it all together.
I dream of a day we can all thread our lives in synchronization.
I try to be easy to execute, to understand, though it’s never always that simple. I hope one day people will appreciate my blessings as they once did before.
I am the thread and the stories.
