When I can’t sleep at night I hit play, A constant cycling of love songs, Lust songs, soul songs. With each play a different string of my heart is plucked, Vibrating and humming til it is back to baseline before the next strum. All of the cords play your song. With heavy eyes and mellow thoughts You appear and we dance. Around and around we go, grazing the ballroom as if walking on air As if Gods walking on water. Whisked from one door to another, Turned from royalty to full blown domestics. The lobotomized smile is nowhere around, Bliss of aprons, cooking and baking fill the house. Greeted with a kiss and a giggle, Your tales of work regale me. The oven door closed on browning cookies and onto the next adventure we were. Raging into battle upon horse back, Your guild shrouded in blood, My armor marked with battle. We fight side by side in a waging war across old country. Upon the hill of victory, your gauntlet in mine, A tale as old as time.

When I Cant Sleep At Night
I’d go on any adventure with you
