The cold in its giving Takes the skin, reviewing the leaps While tensing the mind, A warming in the exchange of heart Rebuilding the pulse And chasing the rain The cold weeps in grieving As the fire disrupts The cauldron and the pit Ice boughing unsteadily, yielding to touch The fire examines too far The elements of a soul extended A spirit to barter approaching the end

Upon The Scale
The cold in its giving Takes the skin, reviewing the leaps While tensing the mind, A warming in the exchange of heart Rebuilding the pulse And chasing the rain The cold weeps in grieving As the fire disrupts The cauldron and the pit Ice boughing unsteadily, yielding to touch The fire examines too far The elements of a soul extended A spirit to barter approaching the end
