He asked to get inside my head Well truthfully I loured him in No, I pleaded for him to come in Maybe he'd help clean up the disaster Left behind by the men before him Left behind by all who had visited And most importantly The damage I caused myself Oh poor me, no poor him I had second thoughts But it was too late He was already inside I was surprised when he entered I mean at his reaction upon entry He had nothing but compliments Oh what a lovely place he said Looking around quite pleased Was he just trying to be nice Did he not see the wreck it really was I showed him the dust under the couch The various holes in the walls Stained carpets, shattered mirrors I didn't need to show him the trash It was visible enough, everywhere Ash trays, Beer cans, mice traps, ***** laundry, mouldy pizza Why did I take him inside I knew the state this place was in Was I that lonely, that desperate He replied with a smile It gives the place character I apologized, ashamed He smiled again I wish you saw the beauty here The beautiful disaster

Beautiful Disaster
