Is it really worth it To have to benefit your lies By sending the masked men after us Day after day? Because I cry myself to bed each night And I worry for my life Because you are shooting the citizens Who did nothing wrong And I flinch at the news now And the only hope I have Is being banished When protests are called insurrections I'm just a young girl I haven't been here very long But now I hold my head in my hands Worrying that it was far too short I have been here all my life And so has my father And his father too We are not new here And when I heard news That the men in masks came for my friends I shook so hard I almost fell I had to crawl up to bed What can we do To make your horrid ice melt? Because I am a citizen And I am scared for my life

I am scared for my future
