—our bodies drift drawn by the moon I surrender all to the tide where skin forgets its shore. Her song becomes droplets, dancing through the air. The moon’s white silk falls as darkness spills forth. The tide sighs in slow ecstasy—we are bare. Her song becomes droplets, dancing through the air. A kiss in our shadow welcomes sea stars. The tide sighs in slow ecstasy—we are bare. Sea anemones sway with our hair, never far. A kiss in our shadow welcomes sea stars. Sister moon commands our tide: we follow. Sea anemones sway with our hair, never far. Slowly, cold light drains what was warm and yellow. Sister moon commands our tide—follow. I waken to distant echoes—waves gone before. Slowly, cold light drains what was warm and yellow. I surrender all to the tide where skin forgets its shore.

The Moon Unfastens Our Sea
