I come back home, feeling heavier than ever before, tears in my eyes. Still, I didn’t cry on my way. When I saw that mirror girl, looking insane and lost, but still asking me, why do you have those teardrops? I blinked my eyes—a teardrop fell, but I wiped it off. Looking straight into the eyes of the mirror girl, I said— I am strong. And I am going to handle everything like the back of my hand. I don’t need support; I can stand on my feet. Bring all the pretenders. I am not afraid anymore. I know my path is hard. I know I am fallen apart right now, but they don’t know rusted knives are more damaging than the good ones. I have seen scorpions in the dress of friends, so I know all your plans—you can’t bring me down. If I love deep, that doesn’t mean you are allowed to make me bleed. Now your time is gone, and my hand came so long— it has taken time, but I am on my way. I am strong. I am fearless. Nothing can stop me. I am standing on my feet. Bring all the pretenders. I am not afraid anymore. Thank God I am an Aquarius, someone who lets go so fast. So many emotions I felt at 18 that now I don’t know what hurt me hard. You love, you lose. You love, you win. Aquarius only knows how to love deeply but still gets nothing. So I am strong even when my back bleeds. I can stand on my feet even when my legs are shaking. Bring all the pretenders. Even when I am scared, I am not afraid.

This poem is a raw conversation with the selfspoken in front of a mirror after a long, exhausting day. It captures the quiet moment where pain is acknowledged but not allowed to win. Through trembling strength, the speaker chooses resilience over collapse, self-belief over dependence.
