Grey skies are okay They don't expect me to shine Don't need to go out my way To tell people "I'm fine" Everyone waits for the sun But the grey skies understand That some days, getting up Is already more than I planned The clouds don't ask me to "try harder" Or tell me "this too shall pass" Though they seem to get darker As I let time crawl past If nothing gets better, If this is all I can do, At least the sky won’t ask me To be more than I’m able to.
