How I relish in the divinity of your gaze Of your wandering spirit Your gentle noise The courageous in your quiet The softening of your edges And how lucky am I That abundance flows to me in kisses And warm springs under ribs Waiting to erupt And spill onto linen sheets Like something ancient and sacred How steady is this flame we’ve fed Dancing in a sapphic rhythm Our kitchen Foxtrot Our primal spark Embers of the ages And oh, how tender is the sky Always guiding Stars aligning A canvas in the dark A language only we can speak Leading me to you The moon of my heart My infinite horizon
