I wake up long before sunrise There's only darkness all around I perform ablution and wear perfume The sound of adhan reaches my ears Heart is hallowed Arabic alphabets surround me I pray and leave my home The cold roof is like an ice castle Fog enters my lungs The sun slowly rises I take off my hoodie There's no hydrating serum or sunscreen gel on my face The sun kisses me I'm sun-kissed The sound of the morning birds chattering tongue twisters is lovely Hot lemon ginger tea calls me And my day starts
