You? (sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCMIII) Dawn's sluggish, darkness ling'ring til, t'avail Me of my bed once back is tempting, thence Foresworn cuz there's too much to do fr'intents, And little time. Wash last night's dishes, hail A chance to put the kettle on, and frail As Barry's after third shift, search defense In that dear cuppa, shortbread tops as hence What joy tis to indulge in that detail! Come, come, last year now was a Sunday's tour, My aunt and uncle vis'ting like th'ado Was perfect. So much since then puts as twere The joys of that far out of sight. We knew Sweet minutes, then. All passed, what's left? Bestir No vision for the morrow. LORD, where to? 22Dec25a
