Across the isle, the winter mist descends, And veils the path between your heart and mine. But Christmas light a different signal sends: A glow of home, a soul-deep, holy sign. I crave to feel the rhythm of your chest, To count each breath and every pulsing beat; In you alone my wandering shadows rest, Where love and longing finally choose to meet. Though fog may drift and hide the world from view, It cannot dim the pull of who we are. My compass always points me back to you, My steady home, my bright and constant star. No mist can part what heaven’s breath has sown, For in your soul, I’ve found my only home. Would you like me to create an image of a misty, romantic island landscape to go along with these words?

Sonnet of Love
