(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCCCXC) Ah, winter morning, peach low 'neath the dense Half purplish grey naught cov'ring for, to scale, This absent day, is't e'en or dawn's detail??? Snow frozen in the rear, we've half fr'intents Forgott'n the season's greetings whose pretense Of joll'ty tricked the hours out ere; avail Us how, in surly hours denial of bail? I'll wait til I get home for such defense. Our tree's been lit since ole Thanksgiving's tour, The station's trapping's sparse as ver'ly due, No music to tap out the minutes fer Our antsy feet, we're lost in seas'nal blue. Or grey, this time. Twixt salt and snow as twere, How see afar off? LORD, direct our hearts to You. 15Dec25b
