walking around in a shadow
that shrouds in everything
searching for something
yet able to see all the holes
as darkness been there forever
until a bright light comes with a shadow
almost covered by a shadow
a light
gleaming with hope
fighting with will
as i walk towards the light
wondering why it feels so warm
as i get closer a warmth swallows
my chest as a light forms, showing
every color i never seen mesmerized
weakening the shadow the shrouded me
seeing the shadow fade leaving behind
it's victim weak, and hopeless
until i give some of my light
to help guide him away from each hole
that seems to go deep forever
as we stay close, until we get lost
as one leaves both darkens
as both cannot see the holes
which one falls yet never comes
back up as they never found a ground
to come back up as each fall seems
to guide the mind into darkness
each crack forms like an old statue
darkness comes like a slimy corruption
that leaks and covers each memory
light that fades until there is no light
but darkness to only fall far

covered by shadow as hope gives up
walking until my legs give up
each step as the fog residue
clings to each step heavier
like a thousand pounds
each hole barely visible
only visible by a light that shines
that is dimmed each second
watching everyone stare
as i slowly go out step by step
knowing if i stay i will fall
each crack began to seep
the silent pain began to weep
the that guided me light starts to sleep
hoping i don't fall to steep
yet that fades to nothing
a light appears but not mine
shining like a star being born
as it comes like a light from the heavens
the light drives the shadow
each step being lighter
a familiar feeling warms my body again
each color comes out bright again
each touch begins a new hope
but each hope is stained with shadow
that always stayed hidden in my mind
that left me helpless from my thoughts
each step was lighter but something felt heavy
until it was lost the hollowed light faded
bringing out the shadow that seems to live in it
each step seemed impossible as all my will
is now to move forward each step
never saw the holes that stayed
yet seemed to come out of nowhere
each fall seems to be faster
as shadow becomes darkness
each hope drained until nothing
is now a walking husk for another
as darkness fell far
