when you stare death in the face, what do you see? is there smile lines formed from the reunions she has? are there tear stains on her cheeks for someone who didn’t deserve their fate? is there fury, righteous rage for all those who shouldn’t have feared their parents? is there a tell, when she lies, i mean. does her ear twitch, or do her lips thin. would you feel comforted by their reach or be haunted by their hold?
