When I was young, my grandfather wrote, a note to Santa Claus I'd like to thank you first of all, for all those gifts of yours I know his parents buy the things, he opens on the day with friends and family chipping in to help along the way But Santa you inspire them all. To give with great delight So I would like to take this time to thank you on this night No one ever gives you gifts to open on this day But never do you moan or groan, or even ask for pay Delight of children is all you need, or ever want or ask Then you stay back in the wings until they do the task When we grow older many will forget that you exist But you just sit there happily, for the next ones and there list So thank you Santa for your time, and energy you leave From all the children in the world who really still believe And I would like to be their spokesman even though I'm old For many of them still believe in stories they were told Don't tell us all, you don't exist, or a figure in a store So we'll believe in Father Christmas, until we are no more © Dec 2016, Malcolm Price   christmas
