[verse i]  I knocked upon the door, the gateless door.                I heard the dark induce the world into               A sleep, but never looked behind; before               Awaits a breath, awaiting every sinew               Within. My name, the first, will live and live.               Sit still, I'll make my way, I'll wield my will               And through the hardest stone in quest to give               You of this bount something that'd even still               The raging oceans, cosmic tides, the rings               Of galaxies and solar systems, snakes               No matter how unceasing, even wings,               Miraculous and feathered wings, are lakes [chorus] To solar flares compared with this I plan               To offer: in return, I give you Man.
