With a bone crunching wallop The man crash landed back on Earth With his ***** full and an empty stomach Scrambling onto his feet he looked back up to the stars Waving a clenched fist Flicking his wrist hard His eyes teary and with dry lips he says **** you stars, I long for the day,” The flowers and the trees started to wane The fish in the sea washed up in the waves The stars shone on But the Sun never came. The man wandered the landscape Through villages and towns Motorways lit by streetlights Not a soul could be found Still the stars peered from within the night Watching him struggle Sniggering amongst themselves They meant nothing but trouble And trouble was double The man wandered alone In his own little bubble Even the Bard was void of the man’s thoughts Probably rambling round bars Rambling to himself of course Free alcohol and speech But all the liquor in the land Couldn’t bring back their sun Just those sparkling stars Over sparkling wine Each with a broken heart And a broken mind The man yearned for the sun His body ached for its rays But the sun never did come And neither did the day. With icy cold fingers The man strikes a match It’s warm and it flickers but it goes out too fast His breath is visible as smoke And another match is lit It’s flames in the dark spit and poke The stars they have to be provoked He looks up into the night The constellation Gemini Well past her best Why is she in his head? She broke his heart But only a little dent A life lesson but nothing spent Just a love that wasn’t meant “Be gone Gemini No need to specify But be gone from the sky We have no connection to verify,” And in a supernova Geminis time in the sky was over A cosmic event one step closer But still the sun never came The man with a new sense of purpose Set his sights on a new target Libra sitting there proud in the heavens She who lived with so much balance The weight must be shifted This curse of love must be lifted So grateful for the love she had The man’s heart weighs heavy He inhaled such a deep breath That the whole galaxy wobbled unsteady A black hole, supermassive And in she fell, our Libra now inactive One less constellation But the sun stayed away in desolation He cracked open a can Chugged back a swig Knowing his next fight would be big The man made many mistakes He minded his manners mostly But next was Leo the Lioness You must watch her closely With razor sharp jaws And claws on her piercing paws She’ll turn you into origami Or maybe even filigree You’ll be in bits it’s a guarantee The man slicked back his cap And spat these words at she The planets that came of me Are both our past, present and ahead In order for them to burden life We must call a truce instead Let’s work together You hate and that’s all they’ll know You forgive and our planets will grow The Lioness lay down and rested The man’s words taught her a lesson But still the Sun hid from the heavens. With the sky reshaping The man’s heart keeps breaking He still wanders round the dark A mission he has undertaken His eyes close and he sees light An abundance of bright visions Every image the blinding sun Crackling and snapping warmth Those ray like arms wrap around him The flames of adoration surround him Aries in the sky she flickers blue and white True and bright this is the final night The man’s war on the stars In a galaxy far far away End tonight and sparks alight a new day Goodness gracious globulars and galaxies Gush globs of glittering gasses like glinting glasses Glimmering and glistening by the gallon galore Generating genuine grandeur in a great greedy glow While gentle gentlemen grab at growing gravity I am the Bard and this is my morality You need me in this final battle for strategy Two minds are better than one Let’s not duel let’s be dual Let’s do it for our muse the sun This can be won It can be done The horns have blown The drums been drummed Arise to the skies The constellation Aries We’re coming for our sunrise. The bard the man and all their lovers A story to tell under the covers Aries sits defiant arms crossed The bards dismissed the man is lost You want space? Look around you Says the man hoping she’ll subdue No better place in existence for you I gave you all my hearts desire More fire than what burns inside your core You’re in the sky ‘cause I made you soar Now you make me sore but no more I adore you Aries Though the feeling is not mutual I may as well believe in fairies You know that is unusual I’ll turn away and never look or weep Your part of the sky is yours to keep So the bard and the man turned their back Shunning Aries and grabbed a jetpack Warp speed chić Outer space here they come Ready to go and find their sun The constellations played their part You close your eyes and remember the stars Molten magma moves with manic momentum Motion makes the magenta machine moan Mad males with malice and metal mallets March maddening, marvellous magical manics Moon, mad, moo, mad, mindless maniacs Melt misery by the minute to midnight Might need a miracle to make the morning. You and the moon That has eclipsed you Are on a trajectory You both are affixed to So all this night This cold dark time Is only temporary You’re both part time I have been blessed By a goddess I must confess That my past life was a mess I know you’ll always shine on me Those little kiss of rays will set me free I am mortal and you’re eternal You keep me heated because you’re thermal You’re a bright star With a present moon Myself and the bard Will be leaving soon He’ll forever scribe Tales of a goddess sun Thats shinning bright Although I feel Your rays cast light I’ll blow you a kiss And wish you goodnight. The moon threw himself in front of the sun And a ringlet of light was projected The Bard and the Man’s prize had at last come A halo for the duo was presented For as some stars are lost lovers And some lovers are lost stars And true love is star crossed. No mortal no wordsmith or darling Could ever be worthy of a sun God Yet still she lashed his lips with her light Her rays were meant for all life. These two ascended angels These Demi gods above Are proof that distance Is not the death of love.
