I’m a loner, I know But I feel sad when no one comes for me Though I don’t mind being alone It’s peaceful But maybe Just maybe I wish someone would be there As I eat I wish I would turn around And see a friend Right behind me But unlike me They don’t thrive in loneliness Unlike me They have other friends To be around Unlike me They want to be around their friends I complain about their presence And I say I like the loneliness But God Honestly I just wish she were here She cared She checked on me She understood me She knew the moments When I needed company And when I didn’t Please come back Why’d we choose these paths? Please come back.
