Pride is what kills a man Pride is sent by the ****** to cause injustice I pray to those that never made it out alive Cause of pride. It’s instilled in us, its how we breathe How we react, it’s apart of us Pride… Pride comes between you and I What leaves a eye black and blue You still choose to seek violence in your actions. Cause for what? Cause your manhood was tested? What if you left this earth with the regret you have now? You think pride will be there at your side? No- pride is what’s in the back of your mind Whispering in your ear “He talked about your momma, you finna let that slide?” “He touched your girls backside, you finna let that slide?” Pride is the work of the devil The corrupted man, easily manipulated Filled with the devil’s anger To let the world see that a man is no man. Controlled by anger, fueled by rage Pride is the monster that was left in a cage Pride is what kills a man.

Death of a Man, Caused by Pride
Let go of that pride and protect your peace.
