Everything's fine, everything's great,
Besides this underlying feeling of angst,
Take it to the page, take it to the worlds where my characters reside.
Why not write a tragedy,
If it makes me the least bit happy?
Why not make my main character fight for their lives?
Why should their journeys be easy,
When every day feels emotionally draining?
Why don't I give them a taste of how I feel?
A god who's lost it all,
Who's trying to piece together a life that's worth living,
When everyone he loves is dead and buried.
Another god, this time ruling war,
Loathes herself and isolates from everyone else.
Can she learn to feel human again?
Angst translated into storytelling,
Perhaps my pain can be morphed into something beautiful.
