I should have married a poet
Who knows nothing of grand gestures
But would pause on a moment of grazed fingertips
And could tell you just how the air tasted at that moment in time
The poet would know how to read the things that aren't written
And hear the things that aren't said
Perhaps then a heart will be so touched
That it longs no more for tender days
