My heart broke quietly A little tear A split lip sting Distraction kept it small Emails, phone calls, Minor tasks But it opened in the remembering, reconsidering, reevaluating Reliving Yawned too wide in the retelling rewording, recasting Redrafting Scarred over in the reframing, organising, tidying Filing So, no one can hurt me exactly in that way again
