You told me once, “Do not give up on love... it will find you, the truest love.” But when I look into your eyes, I see it there you, the love I cannot have. If only you knew the mask I wear, how I’ve been breaking in silence, at my lowest, still hoping that it would be you who finds me in love.

The truest love
You told me once, “Do not give up on love... it will find you, the truest love.” But when I look into your eyes, I see it there you, the love I cannot have. If only you knew the mask I wear, how I’ve been breaking in silence, at my lowest, still hoping that it would be you who finds me in love.
This poem is my quiet confession—a truth I never said out loud. It’s about being told to trust love, to wait for it, yet realizing the love I was asked to wait for was already standing right in front of me. It’s the ache of seeing him, the one I cannot have, while hiding behind a mask of strength. It’s the longing to be found, to be chosen, even while breaking in silence.
