We are wandering wonderers No righteousness left in us Just echoes of kings and prophets Who traded hope for dust No songs hid in the silence No fire neath the stones This earth is dry and broken And we are not our own But then… You… Breathe. Renewing, undoing Every end I thought was mine Then You… Breathe. And all that died inside Begins to rise We drank an empty chalice Named graves as holy ground Built altars to our aching And called it faith somehow But mercy walks in ashes And finds me where I lay I hear You in the silence Still whispering my name Then You… Breathe. Unmaking what was twisted Unbreaking what I hid Then You… Breathe. And the bones begin to rattle And the tomb forgets and lives You don't raise me to run — You raise me to kneel. You don’t fix the fracture — You make it feel. You don’t silence the storm — You teach it to rage. You don’t change in the making — You make me to change. But then… You… Breathe. And I remember how To live.
