A thousand miles, A dream comes true. The sky shines bright, A peaceful blue. But who cares? No one is near— A thousand miles, Who stops to hear? I have my steps, One and two, Struggling patiently, It isn’t easy to do. Still, I live with tricky fear— That clings to me year by year. A thousand miles, No one I knew— But then you came With paths in view. You interfered To calm my fear, And in your words, I found my cheer. I have my steps, No road is new. My heart revives, My strength renews. Your words still echo in my ear, Morals you teach, a life you steer.
