so how would I know if
Bombay is as extreme

There are no trains on
the strip, it is the only
way to assess dencity.
Rush hour is 24 seven.
But guess what, despite
no space for shadows or
guardian angels, they’ll
make room for one’s soul.
A tight squeeze between
Hindu & Muslim, al fresco
from La provenance to le
destin, “ but, a welcome ”.
If you cannot embrace the
migrants colour difference
& presence, do a tolerance
course in Calcutta or Delhi.
Or try living in a colostomy
bag on wheels for 4 years
at 74 without a pension in
in the country of your birth.
Do it without begrudging a
space for shoeless feet on
the guard rail of a moving
locomotive, offer your hand.
Woke is not past tense of
wake it is a future present
of giving and of receiving,
it is our “Cead Mile Failte”!
