I wanted to write a poem for Pope Francis yesterday but ended up writing it today.
Today happens to be Earth Day. It’s no secret that Pope Francis cared for creation; our common home. Because of him, it was possible for me to make the environment the central topic of prayer gatherings for a prayer group I founded within the Catholic Church, which traditionally may have rejected the idea prior to his pontificate. The Pope truly gave us hope. Long live his loving legacy! ❤️
