Too bright to view With human eyes Too colourful to see at night The pond was doused, early on With summer rain From far beyond She turns her remorse into rage And drags the dead sheep down the stage Just to watch their boiled blood She draws the knife And stabs the sun In that pond, just backyard she spends her time in the darkest summer sky Wishing for unearthly stardom Having parties with the leeches (she's sunken to the bottom)

the pond girl
Too bright to view With human eyes Too colourful to see at night The pond was doused, early on With summer rain From far beyond She turns her remorse into rage And drags the dead sheep down the stage Just to watch their boiled blood She draws the knife And stabs the sun In that pond, just backyard she spends her time in the darkest summer sky Wishing for unearthly stardom Having parties with the leeches (she's sunken to the bottom)
written based on a dream I had a few months ago. i dreamt of a place where the only sources of sustenance were a pond, and the sun. so weird, but at least i took inspiration from it! (and my obsession with insects and leeches)
