Dry your tears, they're empty now

I am the mat beneath your feet
Drenched and ***** I must be beat
Wear me down don't toss me out
Contaminate me rather the grout
I can no longer see your smile
Just a wicked unpleasantly vile
Hollow being, you obscure truth
Feed me lies, I've become a sleuth
Turned deaf to your manipulation
Uncovered and overdue salvation
