Last nail Last time to see where he hails from To go where he came from “That’s the trail” They say Widow on window She lost her husband She lost her other hand Nothing but willow She sits on the seats he bought her Reminiscing starts Cuddle cravings creep in Lips starts to wither Hopeful for a midnight kiss She scolds her mind She is alone now Too bad He would never see him At my usual joint The one which serves monkey shoulder She shows up Swollen eyelids A week long sobbing I guess she never wanted to be sober Sits next to me “ let the dead bury the dead” I gulp my last mouthful of cognac and leave I already knew where it would lead at🥹🥹🥲 She staggers home Nothing really seemed on her side Only her legs Which seemed to know home She never minded to turn on the lights She had to get used to be friends with darkness Henceforth she never wanted to dream Maybe she will have no dreams anymore She killed her heart for eternity 🥹🥹
