Scattered stones upon the ground I watch them as they land Did fate determine the way they roll Or gravity had the pull They make a pattern I can see Confusion has me gripped What if one was too roll some more And let that pattern slip Like life I guess you could say Are we little stones We change our minds and the flow Held here by goodness knows My mind’s all a quandary now Over thinking little stones The way they just lay so still Doing nothing that will show I go back inside to think about Why I even thought Those little stones could even solve My thoughts now seeping out
