Let me come closer, please, Let me touch your cold cheek, Every scar, every pain that it keeps, Every wound that won't cease, And the ache deep within you that speaks. I long to be nearer, closer still, Everyone chooses, whether sweet or ill, Each to their own, what they find true, But all I desire—is you. I long to be closer, forever near, My lost, wandering soul, to you, my dear.
