The heart you took, Stolen in the blink of an eye. You left me gasping for air, Praying for your own love, To come take me away. The heart you took, my love, Shattered upon impact. Broken into a thousand pieces, Flung into the starry sky, All alone in the night. The heart you took, Smiles a broken smile, Shows the world no pain. Pretends that everything is fine. And it is. It really is.

The Heart You Took
The heart you took, Stolen in the blink of an eye. You left me gasping for air, Praying for your own love, To come take me away. The heart you took, my love, Shattered upon impact. Broken into a thousand pieces, Flung into the starry sky, All alone in the night. The heart you took, Smiles a broken smile, Shows the world no pain. Pretends that everything is fine. And it is.
