There’s chaos, there’s fight
There’s love & there’s light
There are questions & truths to discern
& There are answers I am trying to confirm
There’s hurt, there’s mess, there’s much of pain
& then there’s love, light & peace again
There’s ego, there’s fear
There are smiles, there are tears
Oh what a paradox I live
Everything is so cloudy
Yet everything is so clear
These cycles of heaven & hell
Scream at me almost deafening me
But Oh dear lord, the hopeless optimist in me
hears a lullaby even amidst the screams
as I struggle to sleep
As these subtle illusions tiptoe
Like an expert creep
Yet with all my might, I defy the noise
& put an ear to these superficial walls,
to listen to the little voice that softly tells
A secret buried under these illusions
if we dare to dig
With so much love, I hear it speak
