I think I hear the sound of rain again, I think the storm will come and wash the pain, Do you hear the devil call my name in vain? He tried to live inside of me and my soul to gain Where do I go from here? Why does this remind me of desperate times? Why don’t the people read between the lines? Do you see drama but don’t see the signs? The degradation and the steep decline? Where do we go from here? We live in crowds but live lonely lives, Desperate daughters becoming broken wives, The lies cut deeper than the split from butchers knives False Memories stored in the dark archives What do we want to hear? IS it freedom is it fear? Is it bravery when we don’t dare? Is it boldness when we care? Is it falsehood that we all wear? Tell the devil I saw him in a man’s heart Tell him reveal yourself while I play my part. Tell the angels to tell me, where should I start? Relay my Sos message to push the restart. What do you think we fear? There is no hand shake there are no friends, We are all enemies plunging to the end, We **** our neighbours children and still pretend To love the children in the mines whose backs they bend Where comes the diamonds you wear? Yes, give it all away and come with me, No you hate me so suddenly, Giving all to the poor is what we call bravery, No, now you hate me and call me enemy. Who causes the others’ tears? The chains around the neck of my ancestors brought them here, The chains in my pocket has brought me here, We both share the same tears. And are separated from our loved ones here The double standards in the wisdom of the greats Create convincing books (hooks) and you are the bait Men without honour, soul or faith If you really doubt me ask the Gates. The vaccinated African children can relate. He is their knight in shinny armour, He’s not the reason for the Capitol clamour, He seems to be a man of valour He is confused with nothing to stand for, Just like others he’s rotten in his core, Do you hear the sound of rain or should we ring the bell? Do we eat, dance and drink and be the stories the future will tell? The barbarism, bias, hatred, the universes’ cancerous cell The religious and the atheist will all be put in one hell. Their philanthropy is a two-edged sword Right hand shake and the left to shade your blood Materialism is their preachers’ god, Be patient they say and wait upon the Lord; Fight to the end or do not fight at all, Be quiet and listen for the master’s call. Your master or whose master’s call? The luxury we enjoy causes another man’s pain Men in suit and those in jeans are the same lawmakers they are, so they claim United Nations uniting in vain. Yes abundant rain comes our way No Noah’s ark cause we all must pay.
