Never was his willpower so strong as the morning after the night before when it was never, ever so weak. A true story, or rather, many, many true stories, ahaha, and I'm thinkin' I ain't alone on that one. &#129303; 

Just a fabulous little write Khoi with such a universal appeal. I like the longer reads usually, those deep, deep dives because I generally write super long ones like that that most folks don't have the time nor inclination to read so I like to return the favour to fellow deep divers, but a well writ skin dive, no, scratch that, like a pearl fisher's dive, deep but quick, that's what this read to me like.

Ivd read again and again, its mostly beautiful mystery to my eyes and ears, I only understand just enough to ensure I'll contemplate this all the day through... thank you.

And because I have diving and pearl diving in particular on my mind, here's for no particular reason other than it's my all-time favourite poem, as it was ever since a woman (to be my wife) post-coitally whispered it so sultry as almost fair warning to me, that I fell as deeply in love with this rather obscure poem (the author known more as a novelist to be sure) as I had fallen in love with her... deeply, deep-dive deeply. I wi always adore this poem as I shall adore her. Death does not stop adoration, it doesnt need to, nor should it. It took awhile to clue into that for me... on with the poem!! I hope you like it, and that I'm not messing up your comments section too badly.

My First Love

So the shining, ambient air
Clothes the golden waters where
The pearl fishers dive.

When she wept and begged a kiss
Very close I&#8217;d hold her,
Oh I know so well in this
Fine, fierce joy of memory
She was very young like me
Tho&#8217; half an aeon older.

Once she kissed me very long,
Tip-toes out the door,
Left me, took her light along,
Faded as a music fades&#8230;
Then I saw the changing shades,
Colour-blind no more.
