Gees! I can relate. Fairly regularly I go to sleep but wake up after three hours and cannot return to my dreaming. The first stanza causes me to think of how we abandon each other by sleeping. Each of us is left alone with our thoughts and feelings bundled up within us. What to do? Thanks Rosie.
