Don't say it's because of what it would do to your family. That's really insulting. Don't say again, because that heavily implies that anyone who is a suicide victim doesn't care about what it would do to their family. Did my wife not care what it would do to me when she took her life? When I've tried taking my own life since then do you think I don't consider what that would do to my family, my kids? 

If you've never had a no-hesitation marks suicide thank the fucking universe you've never had that a major depressive episode that bad that NOTHING matters then ending every second of unbearable emotional agony. I'm coming down on you hard because you don't probably have a clue about how hurtful, ignorant and offensive that comment about your family, but just think about a few minutes, and please never fucking share that outside of your own mind again. Please.
