For those of you that don't know me I put my emotions into poetry Bare with me, we taking a trip to uncharted territory Prepare to see what my mother means to me Born on a farm, it's much better than the city She literally lost her arm, doesn't mean she wasn't pretty Learn to bounce back, especially when you lack, you have to be gritty You have to fight for what you want, don't depend on pity This is what she taught me, it's much more valuable than anything she could've bought me As the fourth of five I only got her attention for a fraction of the time Ain't on point in being bitter, even when you're the pick of the litter, I had to learn to share what's mine Build a spiritual backbone, you can't do it alone, you need Him in this life Because like a spine it isn't a straight line 60 years is a lot to summarise in the space of 60 lines I did it in less, I don't need a lot to know I'm blessed These are the things she taught me, it's worth much more than anything she could've bought me Come what may I will pass this test If you're here today, you made my mother smile, that's something for which I'll pay M-O-M, man of the match but you've been going longer than 90 mins What more can I say?? I love you mom, from the day of my birth till I reach my grave
