*Eyes, Desperate to meet But when they do, are swiftly averted It’s as if time has stopped And the world’s staring at them. Now, Rose red and oblivious Hearty spring in each calculated step Hoping to bring to life That planned chance encounter. A word, To speak is Herculean Trembling like stars on a moonless night And a strained parting Leaves behind souls incomplete. The night, Will be long and sleepless Eternity measured in a matter of hours Though tomorrow is new, it’ll be Exhilaration and heartbreak all over again.*
