Help me ask Santa Will he come If the snowflakes are ninety nine Peradventure eighty Will he still come Say the flakes become seventy Will we see him Peradventure fifty Will he consider What of forty Will the reindeers move If they are thirty Is he coming If the ice count twenty Should we expect him Peradventure ten Is this too small If they reduce to five Will he want to move If there remain no flake Will we get our gifts? The globe is warming The world is changing Santa's gift hanging And life is dying The sun is in the flake's den And the battle is gruesome The hail is losing blood and feeling the heat The ice on the berg runs into the blue And the dolphins are bolting out of it The plea of life beckons wild For a speedy slow down And a timely move Away from winter's space
