I am surrounded by people. Yet I am alone I speak and they look on not knowing I have spoken. My thoughtless words meant to fill the void turn into pleading fits of my innermost thoughts because I don't believe they will hear them I am who they expect me to be Because they will not open their eyes or ears to hear anything differently I feel as though I am asleep trapped in another's lucid dream as their being for them to keep.
