The Poem is Dead
What is the reason and apparently
You write poetry
To entertain the audience
Or worship the great?
Is the harvest enough
In the food to be sown
Is this really going to be heard
Of the heart far away?
If the beginning is over
What else can be gained
And if there is no more poet
And is the poem dead?
Who will listen
If more prevalent
At the compass of my mouth
The noisy floor?
No one wants to understand
They are tired and bored
Wish is quick comfort
Ideally pitiful..
