Down where the grass was green,
We swam with ducks
In the artificial lake
Artificial blue,
Turned green with algae
I'd let you ride my skateboard
Always holding your hands
We were both scared that you'd fall,
And despite how tired I was
You'd drag me onto the playground
I preferred the cool breeze
In the shade of leaves and trees that we were climbing,
You fell
And I asked if you were ok
You said "yes"
And then you started crying
