Going On Forever I don’t want to disappear, But stay here Growing, learning, Watching its eternal earning With a quiet eye. Yet and yet, not able To face label Death, There is a daring me - preparing, Filled with stashes of creativeness That make up for The fear of disappearing. Without forethought I find notes to play; Better than before or ever. Unpredictable the throat, but I don’t care Because inventiveness is there. What might have been a vanity, Self-consciousness and worry, Is an energy of nonchalance Letting in pure chance And taking in delight In finding just what’s right In word or song, As if the wrong-est word Ought still be heard by others, Thanks to confidence That smothers fear of being judged; That if I’ve fudged a phrase expected, Anything can be corrected. Hence the fire of desire To go on forever, Bedded in indebtedness Undying.
